Phoenix Center’s 2002 U.S. Telecoms Symposium

On 20 November 2002, the Phoenix Center held its Annual U.S. Telecoms Symposium in Washington, D.C. to a “standing room only” crowd. The theme of this year’s Symposium was: How Do We Go From “One” to “Many”? What Do We Need to Do to Create a Vibrant Wholesale Market for “Last Mile” Local Access?

Not only were we privileged to have a stellar list of participants explore this important theme and to have Senator Byron L. Dorgan accept our 2002 Jerry B. Duvall Public Service Award, but also the National Association of State Regulatory Utility Commissioners used the Phoenix Center’s Symposium to announce a major advocacy initiative.
